Butlins choose Coram Showerpods
Butlins Resort Skegness secured its place in Britain’s social history when it became the first Butlin’s holiday camp to be opened by founder Billy Butlin in 1936. Now owned by holiday and leisure sector giant Bourne Leisure Holdings Ltd, Butlins Resort Skegness specialises in short family breaks and caters for 500,000 visitors every year.
In a recent refurbishment of 214 shower rooms, Coram ShowerPods were chosen as an ideal showering solution for the resort’s high-use requirements.
Butlins Resort Skegness is located on the Lincolnshire coast. In a recent update to 214 bathrooms, the resort was in need of an effective and high-quality showering solution to replace an old and outdated system. With a view to substantially improving showering facilities in their family-friendly accommodation, the Bourne Leisure team set-about searching for a modern showering option that would fit their exacting requirements.
Being one the UK’s busiest short-break locations, Butlins Resort Skegness wanted to ensure that their bathroom refurbishment project would provide a long-term solution to the leakage problems they were experiencing within some of their older showering arrangements.
After trialing a Coram ShowerPod 800 Alcove model for six months, in tandem with an alternative brand, the Bourne Leisure specification team was completely convinced that Coram’s ShowerPod was the product for the job.
Bourne Leisure specified 214, 800×800 White Alcove ShowerPods. Each of the ShowerPods was fitted with a Coram Optima Bifold Door, which boasts toughened safety glass and Coram’s StayClean glass coating, to ensure quick and easy cleaning.
Coram’s exciting range of self-contained ShowerPods are fast-fit showers cubicles that are available in a large range of sizes and colours.
From an installation perspective, Coram ShowerPods are incredibly quick and easy to fit; ensuring minimum downtime for the Resort’s accommodation during the refurbishment.
In addition, ShowerPods are fitted within their own footprint, so there was no need for pre-assembly or additional installation.
